Amazon Kid-Friendly Case for Fire HD 8 tablet (Only compatible with 10th generation tablet, 2020 release), Doodle
They market this for adults with children, but what about for the childish adult? Jokes aside, this thing is downright essential to the functional use of compatible tablets for productivity and general use.
It's all in the handle — Of course, you can keep the handle collapsed and just use the side covering the SD card as an extra bezel to grip onto. The documentation shows two intended uses of the handle when deployed in its stand configuration, and each are important; If viewing content on a bed, you don't have the hold the tablet up if you have it standing on your belly. The alternative use with a more shallow viewing angle is important for deployment on a soft surface where having the tablet stood upright is untenable due to gravity having its way.
But the handle's undocumented party trick lies in how the tablet is canted when deployed in its stand position, and that is the capability to suspend the tablet off of a ledge or elevated shelf should having the tablet deployed in front of you is less desirous. For a desk with hutch or top shelving, it could permit for use of the tablet as an elevated second display of which you could install Spacedesk from Amazon Apps to use the tablet in such a manner.
In an automobile (and please, ONLY for the passenger side unless parked) you can hang the tablet off of a visor for an extra-large GPS the passenger can use to aid with directions, or for the office on-the-go with a Bluetooth keyboard in your glovebox when needing to use it for that purpose.
In the kitchen if you have some shelf to hang it from you can use that to keep your workspace open as the tablet won't be stood up anywhere you could bump it off. Physics is on your side as suspending it upside-down from the handle is possible without adhesives and hook-and-hook / hook-and-loop attachments. However, if you're real clever about it you can use the handle to suspend the tablet off of a couple hook used in tandem, a couple of cabinet doorknobss, et cetera if deployed in its standing position would get in your way.
It's far too versatile for its own good being a "Kid's product" and something you absolutely must purchase, even over that kickstand case Amazon tries to upsell. If you can't find this by itself, find a Fire Kids' Pro bundle and you should receive this with it.
